Evaluation of Passenger Behavior in the Baggage Claim Area of the Airport Passenger Terminal

The importance of the baggage claim area as gateway to city is extremely high. Therefore, initial impression quality services provided at destination airport based on this area. In research, an agent-based and discrete event approach using five parameters (speed traffic passengers, speed arrangement carousels, air traffic) was applied in order simulate passenger flow Imam Khomeini International Airport, Tehran, Iran. regard, forty-eight scenarios were identified simulated AnyLogic software, waiting time level service for each scenario obtained. Finally, it revealed that changing carousels from T-shaped oval-shaped expansion circumference by 10% had greatest effect. Also, least influence increasing reducing time.
